Top performer winner

Asher Zubich, Mountain Iron-Buhl. Zubich returns to this list and for good reason. The freshman guard turned in a performance of a lifetime as he scored 61 points, including eight three-pointers. Zubich capped the week with a 36-point performance as the Rangers bested International Falls 83-75 on Jan. 31.

Top performer candidates

Josh Reinertsen, Duluth Denfeld. The senior guard put all he could into his team's 98-86 win over Virginia on Jan. 31. He poured in 42 points to continue his successful season.

Henry Abraham, Cambridge-Isanti. The Bluejackets have won 15 of their first 16 games with Abraham leading the charge. That was the case again this week. He opened the week by adding 31 points and dishing out 11 assists as Cambridge-Isanti defeated Chisago Lakes 101-74 on Jan. 28. Then, Abraham took his scoring ability to another level with 43 points as the Bluejackets picked up a 73-70 win over Edina on Feb. 1.

Dain Dainja, Park Center. The future Baylor Bear has been putting an exclamation point on a successful career, including in a pair of wins this past week. Dainja added 30 points in an 82-65 win over Champlin Park on Jan. 28. A day later, he nearly matched his performance with 29 points as the Pirates defeated Totino-Grace 75-48.

Steven Crowl, Eastview. Crowl is also a future Division I player who has been starring for his team. The Wisconsin commit played a crucial role in a pair of wins for the Lightning, starting with a 26-point outburst in Eastview's 82-69 win over Shakopee on Jan. 28. Then, Crowl tallied 25 points as the Lightning won 76-42 against Eagan on Jan. 31.
