Top performer winner

Jalen Suggs, Minnehaha Academy. With anticipation built up for months, Suggs and his Redhawk teammates showed up in a big way on Saturday against Sierra Canyon of California. Despite playing against the sons of NBA superstars, Suggs had no problem reaching the basket as he scored 23 points while also grabbing 12 rebounds and dishing out six assists in a 78-58 win in front of thousands of fans at Target Center.

Top performer candidates

Simeon Sharp, St. Paul Harding. It was hard to ignore Sharp's performance on Dec. 30 in his team's 109-106 win against St. Paul Washington. The senior guard scored 58 points. That number came thanks in part to four three-pointers and 14 made free throws.

Owen Davis, Brainerd. Davis showed in Friday's 63-62 win over Sartell-St. Stephen that he does it all for the Warriors. In the win. Davis put up 32 points to go along with 15 rebounds.

Dawson Garcia, Prior Lake. The senior is back on the list once again after a pair of eye-popping performances. On Jan. 2, the future Marquette Golden Eagle scored 39 points in an 80-58 win over Apple Valley. A day later, Garcia followed that up with a 33-point, 13-rebound performance as Prior Lake rolled past Chanhassen, 86-64.

Decker Scheffler, Springfield. Going up against Hayfield, Scheffler had a double-double with 32 points and 15 rebounds as his team won 82-74 on Jan. 4.
