Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.

Top performer winner

Jackson Loge, Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta. Loge, a 6-foot-7 sophomore center, is playing like a grizzled veteran for the Tigers. He had 44 points on Dec. 17 as his team knocked off New London-Spicer 74-47.

Top performer candidates

Mason Carlson, Virginia. A Blue Devil made our top performer list for the second consecutive week. After Jayden Bernard had a solid performance, Carlson put up his own top performer-worthy show on Dec. 17, notching a triple-double with 25 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists in Virginia's 104-75 defeat of Mountain Iron-Buhl.

Jacob Donnett, Kaleidoscope Charter. The senior forward tallied a pair of 20-point performances last week. On Dec. 16, Donnett had 27 points and 14 rebounds in an 85-25 victory over the Minnesota Academy for the Deaf. Five days later, Donnett scored 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in a 79-62 win against Chesterton Academy.

Dawson Garcia, Prior Lake. Garcia, a 6-foot-11 senior forward committed to Marquette, has been on just about everyone's radar for a few years now and he continues to produce at a high rate. On Dec. 17, he had a 42-point, 13-rebound performance in an 81-55 triumph over Rosemount.

Kerwin Walton, Hopkins. Walton's Royals topped Minnehaha Academy 92-85 in overtime on Dec. 17 in what might be the game of the season so far for Minnesota high school boys' basketball. The senior guard spearheaded Hopkins' winning effort over the Redhawks with 29 points and 11 rebounds; 27 of which came in the game's final 18 minutes.
