Top performer winner

Essay Hagos, Concordia Academy. Hagos had a pair of standout performances a week ago in triumphs for Concordia Academy. It started on Dec. 12 when Hagos dropped 33 points in a 62-43 win against Providence Academy. Three days later, he tallied 28 points in a 67-51 victory over St. Paul Academy.

Top performer candidates

Jayden Bernard, Virginia. Looking at the numbers, it's hard to miss Bernard's performance from Dec. 10 when the senior recorded 59 points and 10 rebounds in Virginia's 97-73 triumph over Mesabi East. To go along with that, Bernard also tallied six steals in the win.

Kooper Vaughn, St. Charles. Vaughn is another player in this week's poll who broke the 50-point barrier last week. The junior guard put up 52 points and snagged nine rebounds in St. Charles' 92-84 defeat of Rochester Lourdes this past Saturday.

Caleb Siwak, Rosemount. Another player who made this list thanks to multiple strong performances last week, Siwek got things started with 27 points in an 82-67 win over Henry Sibley on Dec. 9. Then he tallied 26 points in an 81-54 defeat of Benilde-St. Margaret's three days later.

Reid Patterson, Lakeville South. With his fingerprints all over Lakeville South's perfect 4-0 start this season, Patterson has been the team's leading scorer and he continued to showcase his offensive prowess last week with a team-high 25 points in the Cougars' 62-49 victory over Totino-Grace on Dec. 10.
