Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.

Top performer winner

Alex Gwost, Little Falls. The junior guard may be a newcomer to this list, but he is far from being a stranger to the spotlight. Gwost put up an eye-popping performance on Jan. 25 as he tallied a double-double with 37 points and 13 rebounds in a 87-60 defeat of Milaca.

Top performer candidates

Will Tschetter, Stewartville. The junior forward is back once again, and if you haven't heard he's one heck of a scorer. Tschetter's Tigers staved off Columbia Heights in a 74-72 win on Jan. 25 as he scored 50 points.

Kooper Vaughn, St. Charles. Vaughn is another boys' player back on this list — and for good reason. The junior guard reappears in the top performer race after two performances of at least 38 points. It started with him scoring 38 points as St. Charles won 78-65 over Dover-Eyota on Jan. 23. Two days later, Vaughn starred once again, as he tallied 39 points in an 84-61 win against Mayer Lutheran.

Drake Dobbs, Eden Prairie. The Eagles are a perfect 15-0 so far this season, and guard Drake Dobbs has had his hands in plenty of Eden Prairie's success. The Liberty commit started the week with 30 points as the Eagles got past Buffalo with an 89-74 win. Four days later, Dobbs' scoring prowess was crucial again as he poured in 31 points in Eden Prairie's 82-64 win against Park Center.

J'Vonne Hadley, Cretin-Derham Hall. Hadley is another force to be reckoned with in this crop of basketball talent and showed it again this past Monday against Mounds View. The wing poured in 34 points along with 13 rebounds to finish off the triple-double and 84-62 win over Mounds View that night.
