Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top Performer winner

Robert Jones, Prior Lake. Jones posted a double-double in No. 2-4A Prior Lake's 94-59 victory over Apple Valley on Jan. 25. He scored 31 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Top performer candidates

Tyler Wahl, Lakeville North. The Wisconsin commit scored 43 points in Lakeville North's 69-66 loss to crosstown rival Lakeville South on Jan. 25. Three days prior, he scored 22 points, leading the Panthers, ranked No. 5 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News, to a 77-68 win at Prior Lake. 

Jessye Lewis Jr., Hiawatha Collegiate. The eighth grader's scoring guided the Wolves past two opponents last week. Lewis Jr. scored 32 points against Chesterton Academy on Jan. 24 and 22 points versus Liberty Classical the following day.

Zeke Nnaji, Hopkins. Nnaji, an Arizona commit, registered 36 points for No. 1-4A Hopkins in its 84-66 win over Minneapolis North on Jan. 25. The 6-foot-10 senior scored 24 points in the Royals' previous contest, a 79-42 win at Totino-Grace.

David Roddy, Breck. Roddy led the way in Breck's 4-0 record last week — scoring more than 24 points in each game for the Mustangs. The Colorado State commit's biggest scoring night came on Jan. 26, when he went for 37 points in No. 6-2A Breck's 83-67 win over Park of Cottage Grove.

John Sutherland, Grand Rapids. The Thunderhawks' forward dismantled Hermantown's defense with 49 points along with 17 rebounds on Jan. 22. Grand Rapids, however, came up short, losing 79-76. 

Samuel Ojebode, Hope Academy. Ojebode dominated the glass in Hope Academy's 93-51 win over Community of Peace on Jan. 25. The forward pulled down 34 rebounds and scored 20 points in the contest.

Owen Dean, Minneapolis Southwest. The senior forward reached double-figure points and rebounds on Jan. 24, when the Lakers downed Minneapolis Washburn 82-74. Dean recorded 15 points and 18 rebounds.

Odier Olange, St. Cloud Tech. In a tight 65-63 loss to St. Cloud Apollo on Jan. 24, the junior registered 28 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Olange had 18 points in the Tigers previous contest, a 74-50 loss to Minnetonka.

Joey Sauer, Brainerd. Scoring and rebounding from Sauer led his team to a 1-1 record last week. He recorded 15 points and 17 rebounds in a losing effort to Duluth East on Jan. 22, but the senior helped his team respond two nights later with 15 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in a 67-58 win over Fergus Falls.
