Orono standout senior Jordan Smith has been picked up by the University of Wisconsin as a walk-on.
Smith, the Spartans' all-time leading scorer with 2,518 points, helped lead Orono to the 2011 Class 3A state title over Columbia Heights.
Smith averaged 21.5 points, 3 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals per game as a senior.
