Superintendent Mark Schmitz, in an emailed news release Thursday, said Lynn Peterson had resigned as dean of students, activities director and from all coaching activities.

Peterson had been on paid administrative leave since Feb. 8 pending the outcome of an investigation by the district into allegations made against him.

Peterson was the basketball coach since the 1979-80 season. He entered the 2010-11 season ranked fourth in victories in Minnesota State High School League boys basketball history.
