When Windom left Saturday, it looked as if it would be playing Montevideo in the next round.

But Michael Busack drained a three-pointer with 2.5 seconds remaining, sending Redwood Valley to a 62-60 victory against the Thunder hawks, completing a late comeback in the Class 2A, Section 3 North championship game.

The Cardinals now have a date with the defending section champion Windom Eagles in tonight’s 8 p.m. game at the R/A facility on the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University for a berth in the state tournament.
