Lakeville South beats Eagan 69-64

LAKEVILLE SOUTH 69, EAGAN 64, OT: The Cougars remained tied with Eastview for first place in the South Suburban with a 7-1 conference record and dropped Eagan a game behind the leaders with the victory. Eagan sent the game into overtime with a second half rally, but cold not close the deal. Alex Richter scored 19 points leading four Lakeville South players in double-figures. Jameson Parsons paced Eagan with 23 points.

ROGERS 68, ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE 65, OT: St. Michael-Albertville center Jared Moran tied the game with a conventional three-point play in the final seconds of regulation. rogers jumped on top in overtime, however, on a three-pointer from Trevor Morlock. The Royals never relinquished the lead, hitting seven of eight free throws down the stretch. Morlock scored 27 points as well as eight rebounds and six assists for Rogers. Michael Wiese had 27 points, including 7 three-pointers. for St. Michael and teammate Joe Carpenter recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

ROSEVILLE 65 CRETIN-DERHAM HALL 63: Emeche Wells’ big second half lifted Roseville. Wells scored all 15 of his points after halftime, inclding a game-winning 15-footer at the buzzer. roseville was led by Lucas Brown, who scored 28 ponts.

OSSEO 85, COON RAPIDS 45: The Orioles remained all alone in first place in the Northwest Suburban thanks to a career-best performance from Ian Theisen. The 6-foot-9 freshman center, who was named one of the Top 100 Freshman in the nation by USA Today, scored 18 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and blocked four shots.

EASTVIEW 54, BLOOMINGTON KENNEDY 52: Senior forward Frank Veldman scored a season-high 20 points for Eastview who kept pace with Lakeville South for first places in the South Suburban. Both junior guard Rico Gunn and 6-7 junior forward Cullen Russo had 14 points each for Kennedy.

PARK CENTER 62, MINNETONKA 58: Sophomore Quinton Hooker’s 22 points and 10 assists led Park Center to a comeback win over Minnetonka.  Park Center trailed by eight points at halftime. Junior Tommy McDermott had 29 points in the loss for Minnetonka.

HILL-MURRAY 78, SIMLEY 45: Senior forward Jim Remke scored 30 points for this third time this season and the Pioneers tallied a season-high 61 first-half points en route to their eights victory in their last nine games.

ARMSTRONG 80, ANOKA 60: K.J. Bluford’s 24 points led four Falcons in double figures as Armstrong pulled away from Anoka in the second half to win comfortably. Marquel Curtis added 21 points for Armstrong, which reamined one game behind first-place Osseo in the Northwest Suburban.

CHAMPLIN PARK 58, ANDOVER 46: Champlin Park emplyed a 2-3 zone defense in the second half to break open a close game. The Rebels led by just four points at halftime but extended their lead to as many as 18 points in the second half. Teddy Gibson led Champlin Park with 13 points while Anthony Hill and TJ Okafor each chipped in 10.

BRECK 77, ST. ANTHONY 64: A balanced offensive attack helped the Mustangs hand  the Huskies their just their second loss Tri-Metro Conference play. Tilyn Hollis and Jeffrey Lurie had 16 points each for Breck, which had three othe rplayers in double figures. St. Anthony’s Anthony Brama led all scorers with 24 points.

RED WING 75, CHANHASSEN 69:  Senior center Isaac Sevlie just missed a triple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds and nine blocked shots.
