Showdown featured class 2A No. 1 and No. 3 conference rivals

PLAINVIEW-ELGIN-MILLVILLE 65, CALEDONIA 50: Class 2A, No. 1 Plainview-Elgin-Millville’s conference (Three Rivers) winning streak is alive and well at 52 games, thanks in large part to 21 second-half points by senior Cole Olstad. What was a close game between two highly-ranked conference rivals at half turned into a comfortable win for the Bulldogs.

“Our defensive effort really stepped up in the second half, which created good opportunities on the offensive end,” said Bulldogs coach Kirk Thompson.

Third-ranked Caledonia was led by senior Josh Gran with 17 points. Olstad finished a shade under his season average with a game-high 30 points.
