Armstrong wins fourth in row

ARMSTRONG 76, ANDOVER 53: As it stands, the undefeated Falcons are fast becoming a team to be feared. Armstrong made a definitive statement in beating the Huskies as K.J. Bluford became the third Falcon to score at least 27 points in a single game, hitting six three-pointers en route a career-high 31 points. Mitch Biewen scored 12 points and leading scorer Marquel Curtis was satisfied with a supporting role, picking up 11 points.

BLAINE 81, CENTENNIAL 73 (OT): The Bengals outscored the Cougars 12-4 in overtime, going 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in the last minute. Blaine’s Zach Romashko led all scorers with 31 points, making 17 of 18 free throw attempts. Centennial had sent the game to overtime on an off-balance, three-pointer by Mitchell Kuck with six second left in regulation.

OSSEO 65, ANOKA 54: Terez Van Pelt showed off his scoring touch, lighting up Anoka for 30 points, and Joey Sonnenfeld controlled things inside, adding 22, as Osseo improved to 4-0 on the season.

ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE 60, SPRING LAKE PARK 45: One of the state’s leading rebounders was in action Friday night as senior Joe Carpenter of St. Michael-Albertville recorded his fourth double-double this season with 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Knights. Junior Bryce Williams led a balanced Spring Lake Park attack with 11 points.
