Undefeated Osseo gets top seed in Class 4A state tournament

Undefeated Osseo (29-0) drew the top seed in the Class 4A boys’ basketball state tournament set to begin next Wednesday at Target Center in Minneapolis.

In Class 3A DeLaSalle was seeded No. 1 as it seeks its fifth consecutive championship.

Seeding and pairings in the tournament’s three biggest-school classes were released Saturday morning by the Minnesota State High School League.

Class 4A quarterfinals, Wednesday at Target Center

#1 Osseo vs Eden Prairie, 10 a.m.

#4 Maple Grove vs #5 Lakeville North, noon

#2 Hopkins vs North St. Paul, 2 p.m.

#3 Apple Valley vs Blaine, 4 p.m.

 

Class 3A quarterfinals, Wednesday at Williams Arena

#1 DeLaSalle vs. Fridley, 10 a.m.

#4 Chisago Lakes vs. #5 Monticello, noon

#2 Red Wing vs. Simley, 2 p.m.

#3 Fergus Falls vs. Waseca, 4 p.m.

 

Class 2A quarterfinals, Wednesday

#1 St. Croix Lutheran vs Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, 6 p.m. at Target Center

#4 Braham vs. #5 Maple River, 8 p.m. at Target Center

#2 Caledonia vs. Jackson County Central, 6 p.m. at Williams Arena

#3 Esko vs. Annandale, 8 p.m. at Williams Arena

 

Seeding and pairings for Class 1A will be released on Sunday. That tournament begins with quarterfinals on Thursday at Williams Arena.

The semifinals in Class 4A and 3A are Thursday at Target Center. The Class 2A and 1A semifinals are Friday at Target Center.

Championship games in all four classes are Saturday at Target Center.
