Rochester John Marshall has picked up where it left off last season when it claimed the Big 9 Conference title, as the Rockets have remained atop the standings after winning their first nine league contests.

It once again looks as if it will be a two-team race as Red Wing, which rejoined the conference last year after leaving in 1981, plays host to John Marshall in a clash of Big 9 titans on Tuesday.

Both teams will put their undefeated records to the test as the Rockets (11-2, 9-0), ranked No. 9 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News, visit the No. 2-3A Wingers (12-0, 10-0).

The teams split the season series last year, with each winning on the road. John Marshall finished the season 19-3 in league play while Red Wing ended two games back at 17-5.

While there may be a lot of season left, there is still a lot on the line as a win would go a long way in the league standings for either team, making this matchup of Big 9 favorites an ideal Top Game of the Week.
