Minneapolis, MN - Senior members of the Cristo Rey boys basketball team joined the Cristo Rey Jesuit choir to spend time with patients at the Children's Hospital in both Minneapolis and St. Paul on Thursday, December 5.

Seniors Jeffery Hudson, Saiku Kennah, and Saquoya Brunner spent the day with sick children in an effort to raise spirits and spread holiday cheer.

"We were happy to take part in the event," said Kennah. "Any time we can help other people in need, we want to do what we can."

Kennah, the school's class president, forms a core with Hudson and Brunner as major reasons for the success of the young Cristo Rey basketball program.

"I'm proud of all these guys," said head coach Kristofer Babler. "The amount of time they put in above and beyond what they are doing in basketball is impressive. Sometimes I'm surprised by the selflessness and leadership of these guys. I guess I shouldn't be."

Cristo Rey continues their season at Edison High School (Minneapolis) Friday, December 6 at 7pm.
