Ian Theisen's baseline jumper as time expired gave the Orioles the Class 4A title over Lakeville North.

Three Stars

1. D.J. HebertOsseo

The Orioles senior guard had a solid effort at both ends of the floor, contributing thirteen points and three key three-pointers. He was also very impressive on the defensive end, harrassing the Lakeville north guards, collecting two blocks and a steal. Hebert's stellar play landed him on the All-Tournament team.

2Ian ThiessenOsseo

Thiessen hit the game-winning buzzer beater for the Orioles, knocking down a fifteen footer as time expired. The 6'9 sophomore teamed with Hebert and fellow guard Bridge Tusler to be clutch down the stretch, locking down on defense and converting in transition to help seal a close victory over a very game Panthers squar. Thiessen's eight points on 3-3 shooting (2-2 3PG) and four rebounds helped the Orioles win their first state title in over a decade, their last coming in 2001.

3Tyler FlackLakeville North

Flack was the most effective player the Panthers had Saturday night, damaging the Orioles' defense to a tune of twelve points and seven rebounds. The senior forward was a bruiser down low for Lakeville North, blocking three shots and contesting numerous others. The entire game was a defensive struggle, but Flack and his teammates displayed plenty of heart in the tough loss.
