Hopkins was expected to be without senior starter Zach Stahl for Tuesday night’s Class 4A, Section 6 championship game against Edina at Osseo High School.

Zach Stahl, the Royals’ leading scorer, was expected to miss the game because of a Minnesota State High School League infraction, according to two sources familiar with the situation. The suspension applies to any future games Hopkins could play this season, they said.

Hopkins, ranked No. 1 in Class 4A, is the three-time defending state champion.
