Lakeville North had eight players standing 6-foot-6 and above this season.

That towering presence on the floor was anchored by 6-foot-11 Nolan Winter, who was named the 2023 Minnesota Associated Press (AP) Player of the Year on March 30 and one of five players named to AP's First Team All-State.

Winter helped guide the Panthers to a 28-4 record this season and a Class 4A state tournament appearance, where the team finished third.

The University of Wisconsin-commit averaged 23.4 points per game and hauled in 11.8 rebounds, both team highs, and scored a season-high 47 points in a dominating win over Farmington on Feb. 10.

His length and shooting ability made him a nightmare for defenders, and his shot-blocking capability forced teams to look elsewhere than inside.

Winter drilled 32 3-pointers on the season, third most on the team, and blocked another team-high 36 blocks.
