We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

DeLaSalle vs. Robbinsdale Cooper, Tuesday, March 2. It's the start of a busy stretch for DeLaSalle (8-4), which plays four games in a one-week span. The No. 8-3A Islanders meet No. 4-4A Robbinsdale Cooper (12-1) on Tuesday, then play Minneapolis' South and North high schools later in the week before tipping off with No. 5-3A Richfield next Monday. The Hawks, meanwhile, are on a 12-game winning streak after losing their season opener.

Minneapolis North vs. Hopkins, 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 2. Hopkins (9-4) has dominated this series the past few years, but Minneapolis North (7-0) feels its ready to assert itself this year. The timing may be right for an upset, as the No. 7-4A Royals have lost three of their past five games while the No. 2-2A Polars look to play their first matchup this winter outside the Minneapolis City Conference.
