And the winner is... MN Boys' Basketball Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top Performer winner

Joey Sauer, Brainerd. The senior forward registered two double-doubles last week, with his best night coming on Feb. 22. In the 75-59 win at Rocori, he tallied 16 points, 16 rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Top performer candidates

Matthew Hurt, Rochester John Marshall. Hurt forced his team past Rochester Century on Feb. 19 when he posted 41 points, 19 rebounds and eight assists in the 72-52 contest. He leads the state in scoring this season with more than 800 points.

Dajuan Carter, North St. Paul. The senior guard dropped 51 points on South St. Paul, earning a 95-63 win for the Polars on Feb. 19. Three days later, Carter scored 23 points in a close loss to Mahtomedi, which is ranked No. 7 in Class 3A by Minnesota Basketball News. 

Jacob Stolzenberg, St. Cloud Cathedral. Thirty-one points from the junior gave his team the scoring boost it needed in an 85-65 victory at Sauk Centre on Feb 22.

Blake Remme, Spring Lake Park. On Feb. 19, Remme's 22 points led his team to an 86-71 win at Anoka. He followed that performance with 30 points in the next contest against No. 3-4A Park Center, which beat Spring Lake Park by one point. 

Cole Elrod, Spectrum. Elrod scored 25 points to help his team knock off Trinity 68-59 at home on Feb. 19. The senior forward is averaging 18.2 points per game for No. 7-2A Spectrum. 

Zeke Nnaji, Hopkins. The Royals forward recorded 34 points to help down No. 8-4A Wayzata 84-69 on Feb. 22. Nnaji leads No. 1-4A Hopkins with 25 points per game. 

Mathieu LaFrombois, Nova Classical. LaFrombois almost registered a triple-double in Nova Classical's Feb. 19 win. The senior recorded 21 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists to lead his side to a 73-42 victory over East Ridge Academy.

Kendall Brown, East Ridge. Brown scored 22 points at Park of Cottage Grove on Feb. 19 — contributing to a 93-69 win. He finished with 21 points in the No. 4-4A Raptors' next win, a 96-75 final over No. 9-4A Cretin-Derham Hall.

Jon Stimmler, Princeton. After No. 5-3A Princeton lost on Feb. 16, Stimmler's scoring fueled a perfect record last week. His best performance came against North Branch on Feb. 22 when he put in 28 points en route to a 94-50 win.
