We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.
Park Center at Robbinsdale Armstrong, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13. The No. 3-4A Pirates (18-1, 7-1) get a chance to avenge their only blemish this season, a 62-56 loss to Armstrong on Jan. 8. Armstrong (13-6, 7-3) has lost two of its last three games.
St. Louis Park vs. Bloomington Jefferson, 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12. After losing six of its first nine games this season, St. Louis Park (12-7, 7-1) won nine in a row, including a one-point victory over Jefferson (8-11, 4-4) on Jan. 15. The Orioles are coming off a loss to Chanhassen and could be in a fight to maintain their spot atop the Metro West Conference standings.
Mankato East vs. Austin, 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14. No. 3-3A Mankato East (14-2, 11-1) has been sailing through the regular season, but it hasn't yet played perennial power No. 5-3A Austin (13-4, 12-2).
