We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

Eden Prairie vs. Wayzata, 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11. Wayzata’s five-game winning streak came to an end Saturday at Lakeville North, and the No. 8-4A Trojans (8-3, 0-0) face No. 5-4A Eden Prairie (7-3, 0-0) in their conference opener Friday.

Park Center vs. Totino-Grace, 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10. In the Northwest Suburban Conference, Totino-Grace has an opportunity to rise in the standings, or fall far behind. The Eagles (6-2, 1-1) play at Maple Grove (6-2, 2-1) on Tuesday before taking on the unbeaten Pirates (9-0, 2-0).

Mahnomen/Waubun vs. Ada-Borup, 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11. This will be a key game in the Pine to Prairie Conference South Division. No. 8-1A Mahnomen/Waubun (7-0, 2-0) hopes to break a four-game losing streak against Ada-Borup (7-0, 2-0).

Champlin Park at Osseo, 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8. Champlin Park (7-2, 3-0) is coming off a loss to No. 3-4A Hopkins, but the No. 8-4A Rebels are in good position to exact a little revenge against Osseo (4-4, 1-2). The Orioles, who ended a three-game losing skid last weekend at Irondale, eliminated Champlin Park in a Class 4A, Section 5 semifinal with a 56-54 victory last season.
