The Osseo boys' basketball team entered Thursday's contest with Park Center with one goal: Stop the Pirates' 6-foot-10 center, Dain Dainja.
And the Orioles did, to an extent, limiting the junior to just eight points before he fouled out midway through the second half.
But Dainja's teammates, particularly fellow junior, 6-5 Detavius Frierson, stepped up to fill the void and lead the Pirates to a 64-42 victory on their home floor.

Park Center used a big finish to the first half — and a big second half — to run away from Osseo 64-42 on the Pirates' home floor Thursday.
Park Center, ranked No. 1 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News, used a 14-2 run in the first half's final seven minutes to lead 32-24 at the break. Then the Pirates outscored the Orioles 32-18 in the second half to claim the victory.
Detavius Frierson scored 15 points to lead Park Center, which improved to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the Northwest Suburban Conference West Division. Tommy Chatman had 10 points while Khari Broadway and David Ijadimbola each added nine for the Pirates.
Tariq Henry finished with 13 points to lead Osseo (3-3, 0-2), while Cornell Richardson scored 11.
