Woodard overcomes shoulder injury

A doctor informed the Duluth East senior-to-be, and a Division I college basketball recruit, that he required surgery and would be out six months after injuring himself during the NY2LA Amateur Athletic Union Tournament in Milwaukee in May.

Woodard waited a couple weeks, and when his shoulder felt fine he sought a second opinion. The next doctor found Woodard had a full range of motion and told him he could finish playing the summer season if he followed through on four to six weeks of therapy.

After missing just one tournament, Woodard returned to the Net Gain Sports U-17 team last week at another Milwaukee tournament.
