North Woods defeated Mayer Lutheran 59-46 at the Breakdown Tip Off Classic in Hopkins Saturday afternoon thanks to big days from Cade and Darius Goggleye.
Coming off a run to last year's state tournament, Cook-based North Woods (3-1) jumped to a 28-13 lead at halftime.
Cade, a senior guard, led the Grizzlies with 25 points, while Darius, a sophomore forward, added 12.

Senior guard Baden Noennig led the Crusaders (2-1) offense, scoring 23 points.
North Woods, ranked No. 6 in Class 1A by Minnesota Basketball News, advanced to last year's Class 1A state championship game before falling 59-55 to Russell-Tyler-Ruthton.
Mayer Lutheran was also a Class 1A tourney entrant, and lost to Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 49-38 in the semifinals.
