For a moment Friday night, it appeared top-seeded Duluth East was traveling the same road as last year when it blew a double-digit lead and lost the Class 4A, Section 7 championship game.
But the Greyhounds regrouped late in the second half to pull out a 56-54 victory over Blaine and earn a berth in their 12th Minnesota high school boys basketball state tournament and first since 2006.
