No boys basketball game has been played between Fosston and Warren-Alvarado-Oslo in Todd Mortimer's 13 seasons as W-A-O's basketball coach. Yet it figures to be a rivalry renewed when those teams meet with the Minnesota Section 8A title on the line.

The Ponies and Greyhounds play in the section final at 7 p.m. Friday at Thief River Falls' Ralph Engelstad Arena.
