Eagan avenges big loss to Eastview

Eagan 47, Eastview 35: Eagan senior guard Jameson Parsons scored 14 of his game-high 19 points in the first half, including four three-pointers, as the Wildcats avenged a 26-point loss to Eastview earlier this season.

"We just played with a little more intensity, especially on the defensive end of the floor," said Eagan head coach Kurt Virgin.

The first time around Eastview junior forward Joey King dropped 36 points on Eagan, but this time the Wildcats' 2-3 zone limited him to just 16. Each team now has an 8-2 record in the South Suburban conference, tied for second behind Lakeville South's 9-1 mark.

"It was a big game for us to get back into the conference race after getting beat by them by 26 a month ago," Virgin said.

Eagan hosts Bloomington Jefferson on Tuesday, while Eastview will entertain Burnsville.

Mounds View 88, Roseville 74: Led by senior forward Jordan Van Eps, who scored 37 points, the Mustangs handed Roseville its first conference loss of the season. Sprang leads the Knights – who are currently three games out of first place in the North Suburban conference - in scoring this year, averaging 26.7 points per game.

Eden Prairie 83, Minnetonka 60: The game started with each team scoring nine points, but by halftime, the Lake conference-leading Eagles were up 49-30.
