Player of the Week candidates for Feb. 20-25

This week's winner

Matt Todd, Monticello. The junior guard had a huge week, including 52 points in a 87-79 win over Buffalo and 31 points in a 64-58 win over Becker. He is ranked fourth in the state in total points, with 635.

The other candidates

Jake Binley, Simley. The junior guard recorded an astounding 53 points in a 91-76 win over South St. Paul.

Ontario Chapman, Community of Peace. The senior forward contributed 29 points and 18 rebounds in a 91-79 loss to St. Paul Prep.

Simeon Davis, Hill-Murray. The senior guard is ranked first in the state for points per game, averaging 31.0. In a 82-68 loss to North St. Paul, Davis scored 40 points.

Parker Fox, Mahtomedi. The senior forward posted 33 points en route to a 72-52 victory over St. Anthony. The Zephyrs are currently ranked third in Class 3A.

Tyree’on Johnson, Coon Rapids. The senior forward tallied 41 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in a massive 95-46 victory over North Branch.

Alec Loehr, Rosemount. The senior forward recorded 32 points in a 76-58 win over South Suburban Conference foe Farmington.

Nathan Reuvers, Lakeville North. The senior forward and Wisconsin commit scored 35 points as the No.4-A Panthers defeated the Eagan Wildcats, 94-42.

Michael Schaefer, St. Cloud Cathedral. The junior forward led the Crusaders with 27 points, 20 rebounds and a pair of assists, as they trounced Little Falls 76-59.

McKinley Wright, Champlin Park. The senior guard posted 46 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists, as the No.1-4A Rebels ram to a 87-77 win over No.1-3A DeLaSalle.
