Last year’s Class 3A, Section 2 championship between Marshall and Waseca made national headlines after the game went to quadruple overtime and featured three buzzer-beaters, including Nick Dufault's three-quarter court heave that forced the final stanza.

In the fourth overtime, Cole Streich sank a pull-up jumper to clinch a 103-100 victory and send Waseca to its first state tournament appearance in 14 years.

Marshall, ranked fifth in Class 3A by Minnesota Basketball News, looks to avenge that loss and position itself as the top seed in the section this season with a victory in a rematch with the No. 9-3A Bluejays (13-0, 4-0) on Saturday. The Tigers (11-1, 5-0) return all of their starters from a year ago, providing a tough challenge for a Waseca team hoping to remain unbeaten and prove last year was no fluke.

Given the game's 3 p.m. start time, fans from both communities could turn out in full force and create a playoff-like atmosphere in the gym, which makes the matchup one to watch and our Top Game of the Week.
