Minnetonka led 36-31 at halftime, but with 3.6 seconds left, the game was tied 63-63. With barely any time on the clock, the Skippers managed to score four straight points to edge North St. Paul 67-63 on Saturday morning at the Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic, played at the Hopkins High School Lindbergh Center.
Senior Burt Hedstrom scored a game-high 25 points for the Skippers (1-2), with fellow seniors Isaiah Carver-Bagley and Matt Haas notching 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Junior guards Goodnews Kpegeol (19 points) and Bryce Phillips (17) led North St. Paul (2-2).
