While many Class 4A teams have made noise with their success this season, Mounds View has quietly gotten off to a tremendous start with victories in all 11 of its games, including its first five in Suburban East Conference play.
The Mustangs' undefeated mark will be put to the test this week with a Suburban East matchup at reigning league champion Cretin-Derham Hall.
The Raiders are also unbeaten in their first four conference contests and have put together a quality season, winning eight of their first 10 games. The two blemishes on their record are seven-point losses to Minnetonka and Park Center.
With Mounds View looking to continue its early hot streak and Cretin-Derham Hall hoping to defend its league title, this matchup of Suburban East contenders should prove to be an excellent Top Game of the Week.
