Biggest shot you’ve ever made: Earlier this year, we were playing Morgan Park at Target Center. Late in the second half, the game was tied. We ran a play to get me a three-point shot. I hit it to put us up three with two minutes to go, which changed the game.

One thing you must do before every game: Eat a chicken sandwich with curly fries before every game. I also always pray before I go out on the court.

Best part of high school basketball: Playing in front of your friends and family in the big-time games.

J.T. Gibson

Biggest shot you’ve ever made: Playing against Kansas City Run-GMC in my freshman year in AAU [basketball]. With three seconds left, I scored the game-winning hoop.

One thing you must do before every game: Time to myself in a room and listen to relaxing music to get mentally focused.

Best part of high school basketball: Playing the game you love with your best friend on and off the court. And playing in packed gyms is really cool.

Steffon Mitchell

Biggest shot you’ve ever made: In sixth grade for the state championship, I banked in a three for the win.

One thing you must do before every game: I will start dribbling around the whole building until game time.

Best part of high school basketball: Playing people from all over the state.

John Warren

Biggest shot you’ve ever made: In the semifinals of the state tournament last year, in the final overtime, I hit a three-pointer in the corner to tie up the game right before Amir [Coffey’s game-winning] shot.

One thing you must do before every game: Pregame meal: Spicy Italian from Subway.

Best part of high school basketball: The intensity of the crowds and how big every game is.

Marshawn Wilson

Biggest shot you’ve ever made: Last year at home vs. Simley to take the game to overtime.

One thing you must do before every game: I must eat a nice dill pickle.

Best part of high school basketball: The fans get pretty crazy. And the state tournament as well.
