Hopkins rolls in second half

• HOPKINS 93, COOPER 61:

Leading by eight at the half, Class 4A, No. 2 Hopkins exploded for 53 second-half points to run past Cooper in a nonconference matchup. Royals senior Zach Stahl led all scorers with season-high 38 points, while Cooper got 35 points from sophomore Division I recruit Rashad Vaughn.

• DELASALLE 71, MINNEHAHA ACADEMY 62: Sophomore standout Reid Travis scored 36 points to lead Class 3A, No. 4 DeLaSalle in a back-and-forth Tri-Metro contest. The Islanders jumped to a 20-4 lead to start, but Minnehaha Academy -- behind 34 points from junior Gerald McCarver -- fought back to take a two-point lead with nine minutes to play. DeLaSalle pulled away down the stretch at the free-thow line, led once again by Travis, who was 14-for-19 from the stripe.
