And the winner is... MN Boys' Basketball Hub Top Performer revealed

See who fans voted as the Top Performer March 8-13

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top Performer winner

Cody Pennebaker, St. Francis. The junior scored above his season average twice as St. Francis (12-6) earned two wins from its three games last week. Pennebaker dropped 31 points to defeat North Branch 84-72 on March 8. In the next win, on March 12, he provided 25 points, six rebounds, five assists, five steals and four blocks in the 73-52 decision at Zimmerman.

Top performer candidates

Mason Carlson, Virginia. A pair of double-doubles by the senior put Virginia (7-10) in position to grab two wins a week ago. Carlson posted 27 points and 15 rebounds in a 67-58 defeat of Mountain Iron-Buhl on March 9. Two days later, he tallied 26 points and 14 rebounds beating Mesabi East 75-58.

Zach Longueville, St. Croix Lutheran. Longueville guided St. Croix Lutheran (12-5) with 27 points as it hung on to beat Holy Angels 69-61 on March 8. He also had 19 points at Fridley two days later, helping the Crusaders, ranked No. 10 in Class 3A by Minnesota Basketball News from March 10, to a 50-37 triumph.

Max Shikenjanski, Stillwater. The sophomore's scoring contributed to two wins in the week, as he hit 30 or more points on two occasions through three contests. Shikenjanksi's highest total was in Stillwater's (4-14) 69-55 victory at White Bear Lake on March 8 when he tallied 37 points.

Will Tschetter, Stewartville. Twenty-five or more points in three games from Tschetter kept No. 4-2A Stewartville's (15-3) win streak alive. He commanded 32 points versus Triton on March 12 to win 78-57. The senior posted 28 points and 15 rebounds in a 66-54 victory at Kasson-Mantorville on March 8.
