Top games: Shorthanded Shakopee takes on surging Lakeville North

We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.




Other games to keep an eye on

Richfield vs. Columbia Heights, 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 10: No. 5-3A Richfield (11-2) lost to No. 3-3A Columbia Heights (10-1) by 10 points early in February but can redeem itself and possibly grab a share of the Tri-Metro Conference championship with a road victory.

Hopkins vs. DeLaSalle, 7 p.m., Saturday, March 13: Hopkins (11-5) and DeLaSalle (10-5) both slid down the rankings ladder in the second half of February, but the No. 8-4A Royals and No. 8-3A Islanders will be looking to get back on the winning track in this regular-season finale for both teams.

Mound Westonka vs. Blake, 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 9: It's been a joyous ride for No. 6-2A Blake (14-1), which faces a solid test from Mound Westonka (12-3) to ready itself for the posteason.
