Top games: Columbia Heights, DeLaSalle meet for impactful Tri-Metro Conference matchup

We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.





Other games to keep an eye on

Marshall vs. Worthington, 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23: Marshall (9-1) is two games up on Worthington (6-4) in the Big South Conference West Division standings and could take an insurmountable lead.

Duluth Marshall vs. Eveleth-Gilbert, 7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23: These two upstart programs are making waves in Class 2A, Section 7 could meet again in the playoffs. Carter Mavec averages 20 points a game for Eveleth-Gilbert (9-1) while junior Jasper Timm (26.2 ppg) and senior Oscar Timm (13.5 ppg) spearhead the Duluth East (8-3) offense.
