And the winner is... MN Boys' Basketball Hub Top Performer revealed

See who fans voted as the Top Performer Feb. 8-13.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top Performer winner

Trent Gomez, Two Harbors. Gomez made his mark across the stat sheet providing for Two Harbors (6-3) in multiple ways. The sophomore point guard went for 17 points, eight rebounds, seven steals and five assists in the 87-64 victory over Mesabi East on Feb. 8.

Top performer candidates

Jack Janicki, White Bear Lake. Thirty-five points and 12 rebounds by the sophomore propelled White Bear Lake (4-5) to its 73-64 win against Cretin-Derham Hall on Feb. 9. It was Janicki's second outing scoring 30 or more points this season.

Francis Nwaokorie, Champlin Park. Nwaokorie controlled the boards in Champlin Park's (9-0) 75-65 triumph over Totino-Grace on Feb. 11. The senior grabbed 19 rebounds and 16 points for the Rebels, who are ranked No. 1 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News from Feb. 10.

Ethan Slaathaug, Hayfield. Slaathaug continued his productive scoring run, getting 25 or more points in both games in the week. His best outing was against Metford on Feb. 9 when he tallied 25 points, seven assists and five steals in Hayfield's (7-3) 83-44 victory.

Elijah Wade, Hope Academy. Hope Academy's (2-4) junior guard was lethal on offense at Liberty Classical. In the Feb. 8 contest, Wade tallied 36 points, eight rebounds and four assists, helping the Lions win the game 83-74 and ending his team's losing streak.
