We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

Hopkins vs. Wayzata, 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 12. Two top Class 4A teams and Lake Conference rivals duke it out for the second time this season. The No. 3-4A Royals (6-1) defeated the No. 2-4A Trojans (5-2) 87-80 in their previous meeting on Jan. 19.

Edina vs. Minnehaha Academy, 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9. No team needs a victory more than Edina (3-4), which has lost four consecutive games. That's going to be a tall order when the Hornets face the No. 1-3A Redhawks (5-0), who might be the best team in the state this year.
