And the winner is... MN Boys' Basketball Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top Performer winner

Jessye Lewis Jr., Hiawatha Collegiate. The sophomore provided Hiawatha Collegiate (4-0) with a wide range of contributions in its perfect start to the season. Lewis recorded 27 points, six rebounds, nine assists, and four steals in a comfortable 84-63 victory over Avail Academy on Jan. 21.

Top performer candidates

Alonzo Dodd, South St. Paul. Dodd nearly averaged a triple-double in the Packers' (4-0) unbeaten start to the season. His most impactful performance came against Tartan on Jan. 21. The junior posted 23 points, 18 rebounds, and eight assists to help South St. Paul, No. 7 in the Class 3A Minnesota Basketball News rankings from Jan. 20, edge the Titans 70-69.

Malcolm Jones, Prior Lake. In his first three games, Jones recorded three double-doubles with over 20 points and 10 rebounds in each contest. Jones' highest totals were in a 58-66 loss to Rosemount on Jan. 14. He tallied 31 points along with 19 rebounds and three blocks for Prior Lake (2-1).

Griffin Rushin, Brainerd. In Brainerd's (2-2) opening four games, Rushin reached 30 points on two occasions. He had his best outing on Jan. 19, when he poured in 33 points, nine rebounds, five assists and a block to help defeat St. Cloud Apollo 96-89.

Kooper Vaughn, St. Charles. Vaughn put on an inspiring offensive display when he dropped 63 points for the No. 8-2A Saints in a 91-77 win versus Fillmore Central on Jan. 19. St. Charles' (1-0) marksman hit 11 three-pointers in the contest.
