Ben Carlson
East Ridge, 6-9, senior, forward
College: Wisconsin
The school’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder. “Ben does everything for our team. He plays all positions,” Raptors coach Josh Peltier said.

Steven Crowl
Eastview, 6-10, senior, forward
College: Wisconsin
“The most well-rounded player in the metro,” Lightning coach Paul Goetz said. “A great passer and efficient scorer.” 

Dain Dainja
Park Center, 6-8, senior, forward

College: Baylor
A skilled low-post player who can hit the mid-range jumper as well as step out and sink the three-pointer.

John Henry
Eden  Prairie, 6-5, senior, guard
College: Sioux Falls
The Eagles’ leading scorer since the first of the year while shooting over 60% on three-point tries.

Tre Holloman
Cretin-Derham Hall, 6-3, sophomore, guard

College: Undecided
The future standout point guard doesn’t need to score to have an impact on the outcome of a game.

Henry Abraham, Cambridge-Isanti, 5-11, senior guard. College: Undecided.
J’Vonne Hadley, Cretin-Derham Hall, 6-7, senior forward. College: Undecided.
PJ Hayes IV, Waconia, 6-6, senior guard. College: Undecided.
Charlie Katona, Shakopee, 6-4, senior forward. College: Minnesota-Duluth.
Matthew Willert, Buffalo, 6-7, senior guard. College: St. Cloud State.

How the team was chosen

The Star Tribune’s all-metro teams and Metro Player of the Year were chosen based on nominations from metro-area coaches, conversations with a panel of coaches and staff observations.
