Top games: Eden Prairie provides tough test for recovering Wayzata

We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.






Other games to keep an eye on

Holy Family Catholic vs. Delano, 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 10. No. 7-3A Waconia is the front-runner in the Wright County Conference East Division standings, but No. 10-3A Delano (8-2, 0-0) and Holy Family Catholic (5-3, 0-0) will have a say in how the race unfolds.

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown vs. Blooming Prairie, 7:15 p.m., Friday, Jan. 10. No. 5-1A Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (9-1, 4-0) gets its first big conference test against unbeaten Blooming Prairie (5-0, 3-0).

Lakeville South vs. Rosemount, 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7. The No. 10-4A Cougars (9-0, 2-0) are on a roll, winning easily in their past four games. Rosemount (5-3, 0-2) started 5-0, but has lost its last three matchups.
