Experience can be a valuable thing for high school basketball teams.

For the top-ranked team in Class 4A, the benefit of having a core group of experienced seniors paid off in an 80-63 victory for visiting Eden Prairie over No.4-4A East Ridge. While the Raptors have plenty of talent, like Wisconsin commit Ben Carlson, who finished with 22 points, they do not have a core of players who have been varsity regulars almost since they stepped foot inside a high school classroom.

But that's what Eden Prairie has. The team's leading scorers Austin Andrews, Connor Christensen, and Drake Dobbs, have been with the program since at least their freshman years. And they have plenty of experience outside of the high school ranks, as well. Dobbs, Andrews, and Christensen each played on the Minnesota D1 AAU 17U basketball team this summer, along with East Ridge's Carlson.
