Zubich is only a freshman, but he’s already an experienced leader. That’s good news for Mountain Iron-Buhl coach Jeff Buffetta, who has only Zubich as a returning starter this season. The 6-1 guard averaged 23.5 points while shooting 44 percent on 287 three-point attempts as an eighth-grader and has 65 points in the Rangers’ 2-0 start this season. Zubich was the quarterback on the Rangers football team that advanced to the Nine-Man semifinals this fall.
