La Crescent vs. Caledonia

7:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22

Caledonia, chasing its fifth state tournament appearance in six seasons, proved it still reigns over Houston County boys' basketball with an 86-67 victory over La Crescent last Saturday.

Noah King (18.6 ppg) poured in 32 points and Eli King (13.4 ppg) added 19 as the No. 10-2A Warriors (18-5, 7-0) went up a half-game on La Crescent (17-6, 7-1) in the Three Rivers Conference East Division standings with three games to play in the regular season.

But the Warriors' crown isn't firmly fixed. La Crescent comes to town Friday with an opportunity to take at least a share of that conference championship from their nearby and heated rival.

The Lancers likely will need a bigger performance from their leading scorer, Zach Todd (16.3 ppg), who was held to nine points in the loss. Luke Schwartzhoff (15.9 ppg) led the Lancers with 18 points.
