Wayzata vs. Eden Prairie

7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12

Home sure felt good for Wayzata on Saturday. After three consecutive road losses, including a 91-74 decision at Brainerd, the No. 10-4A Trojans got back in the win column with a 60-48 victory against Robbinsdale Armstrong on their home floor.

Their reward? Having to go back on the road. No. 7-4A Eden Prairie awaits an opportunity Tuesday night to avenge its 64-63 loss at Wayzata on Jan. 11.

It's a twofold test for the Trojans, who are just 6-6 in away games and 3-5 against ranked Class 4A opponents.

Senior guard Jacob Beeninga (17.4 ppg) leads Wayzata (15-7, 3-1). He was held to 13 points in the one-point victory in January. Guards Luke Paulson (15.7 ppg) and Camden Heidi (13.8 ppg) are other leading scorers.

The Eagles are 8-2 at home and 5-4 against ranked Class 4A teams.

Connor Christensen, a 6-6 junior who averages 12.3 ppg, scored 31 against Wayzata's guard-heavy lineup in the Jan. 11 meeting. Juniors Drake Dobbs (18.3 ppg), John Henry (14.5 ppg) and Austin Andrews (12.8 ppg) are the top scorers for Eagles (13-6, 2-2).
