Breck vs.
Rochester Lourdes

7:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4

David Roddy, averaging 29.7 points and 16.2 rebounds per game, is a scoring machine for No. 4-2A Breck. A Colorado State commit, Roddy had 36 points in his last game before Christmas, a 64-59 loss at Totino-Grace on Dec. 22 — the Mustangs’ second consecutive loss after opening the season with four victories.

No matter. Roddy followed that with 44- and 34-point performances in victories over South St. Paul (79-74 on Dec. 27) and New Life Academy (78-53 a day later) in the South St. Paul Holiday Classic to get the Mustangs (6-2) back on track.

Rochester Lourdes (4-4) is coming off a pair of losses — 77-74 to Northfield and 71-65 to No. 6-2A Caledonia in the Rochester Rotary tournament last week. Matthew Hayford (17 ppg), a senior guard, and junior forward Colin Meade (16.7 ppg) lead the Eagles.
