Norwood Young America

vs. Jordan

7:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21

It has been a tale of two seasons for Norwood Young America and Jordan.

The Raiders (0-5, 0-2) have not played poorly despite their winless record, losing three times by seven points or less. Senior Cade Zellmann has stepped into the main scoring role vacated by graduated senior Kellen Erpenbach, upping his points per game production to 15, while junior Reilly O'Neil has scored 13.3 ppg so far this season.

There is still plenty of time for Norwood Young America to turn its season around, especially if the Raiders can get an early Minnesota River Conference win against last year's champions.

The Hubmen have also had to replace their top scorer from last year, with sophomore Ryan Samuelson (24 ppg) and senior Eric Tiedman (18.2 ppg) stepping up to replace the 23.4 ppg of graduated Jimmy Vollbrecht.

Jordan (5-0, 2-0) won the conference title last season, but an early slip could be disastrous in a tight race, so the Hubmen will need to be completely focused on a Raiders team that will be hungry for its first league win.
