Lakeville North at Apple Valley
7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7

Lakeville North and Apple Valley are the standalone favorites for the South Suburban Conference title, with the Eagles currently sitting in first place after a 71-63 win over the second-place Panthers on Dec. 20.

Tre Jones is the state’s second leading distributor with 7.7 assists per game for No. 5-4A Apple Valley. Jones has posted five triple-doubles this season and has averaged 20.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.5 steals per game.

The Eagles (15-2, 9-0) will use a rotation of players to contain Wisconsin commit Nathan Reuvers the best they can. The 6-foot-10 senior forward posted a game-high 25 points for Lakeville North and sank five of nine from beyond the arc in the previous contest.

Reuvers averages 26.9 points and 12.4 rebounds per game, setting him third and fourth in those categories in the state. The No. 3-2A Panthers (15-1, 8-0) will need efficiency from all of its shooters to keep up with the Eagles.
