Win-E-Mac at Ada-Borup
4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 31
Pine-to-Prairie foes Win-E-Mac and Ada Borup are working to come out of a competitive Class 1A, Section 8 field after falling in the first round last year, and both teams could help this year's seeding with a win on Tuesday.
All but one of the Patriots’ losses have been by single digits, including falling to No. 16-1A Lake Park-Audubon (65-62) and No. 11-1A Cass Lake-Bena (60-54).
Hunter Chaput (17.2 ppg) and Alec Kiecker (16.9 ppg) are the Patriots’ main scoring threats and the only players averaging more than 10 points per game.
The No. 8-1A Cougars matched a season-high for total points with 81-56 win against Climax-Fisher on Jan. 27.
Six-foot-7 freshman center Mason Miller has already made an early impression on the conference by averaging a double-double through the first month of the season for Ada-Borup (14-1, 11-0).
Last year's game ended 59-58 in favor of the Patriots, with Hunter Chaput going 8 of 11 from the field for a team-high 24 points.
